A Trip to ACCA Gallery Beverly Hills

Scotch Hopkins Art on Display at ACCA Gallery Beverly Hills

Welcome back or welcome to ANEWtravel blog!!

I thought this trip was worthy of a blog post. I’m rather picky when it comes to Gallery’s, and art as a former Gallery artist myself.

Can we take the time and appreciate art for what it is for a moment? Self expression in the fullest, most raw form. EMOTION. Color, perception, ability, dreams, and the most important part?

FREEDOM.

Each brush stroke, telling a story, of pain, happiness, sorrow, joy, and the free will to express such emotion, bringing it to life.

This trip was different for me. As I know the artist via social media, and have seen him painting via his Instagram stories.

I watched the artist Scotch, whom is also an actor and model, start almost every piece shown here now, so I am aware of the sweat, tears, and hours poured into each piece, and I anticipated seeing the final result of each. Inspiring me along the way to start painting again myself when seeing a canvas. I asked for and received and invite for the Red Carpet Event, and found myself booking a private tour via email with the International Director and Curator of ACCA Gallery Beverly Hills, Maya Ito instead, as I had been previously swamped, and could not attend.

LOVE and HATE were the 2 themes on display, for each artist. Scotchs being Cosmic LOVE. October 27,2023 being the last day of the exhibit, below is the QR code for all of his art. There may be pieces some may be interested in.

The other featured artist, whom I do not know, is Mia Florentine Weiss, she has a lot of sculptures and angelic type art. Very unique, and intriguing. Below is a photo out of the magazine Maya Ito was kind enough to give me. ( Thank you Maya! )

Maya informed me that the Sculpture is so unique that when you move, the Sculpture itself changes words, reflecting LOVE and HATE! How amazing is that!?!

The magazine also includes an interview with Scotch, as well of being packed full of information on art and more!

Below are a few photos taken of Scotchs art on display A Trip to ACCA Gallery Beverly Hills.

There is also a reel on my Instagram feed, via a Tiktok video I made of our trip.

It was an enjoyable family trip and experience, and I would definitely go an see another exhibit sometime.
